Dear Friends,

My Best friend and co-worker Jonathan Alvarez is a survivor of leukemia .If you ever get the chance to meet such a amazing young man like Jonathan Alvarez he will make you smile always happy and full of life very shy but is slowly breaking outta his shell of shyness.Jonathan has been trough so much the many dark hours,days and months and even years spent in hospitals.Jonathan is a true fighter going trough chemotherapy and learning to walk again,the many surgeries and remaining scars on him that remind him of the pain he went trough .That's not even the half of it he had to learn to walk again and taking all the medications.While fighting he was always with a smile and not a day went by that he said he was gonna die he always said he was gonna fight for his life and he is a survivor now from this sickness from the age of 13 he spent his early teen fighting cancer.Each day I thank god and pray for all the kids fighting cancer any type can make it and find hope like Jonathan did. He has honestly opened my eyes to a different side of what people go trough in hospitals and therapy and surgeries and fighting for your life .My heart is now set on making a change and a change for good this is my first walk ever and not my last I will dedicate my time to fund-raising money,Volunteering in hospitals and anything there is to do to get a Smile and make their day a bit of better for them im dedicated to doing this for them.A lil bit goes a long way.Im not only planning to help kids with cancer ,Im also fighting for animal rights too.I already am ready to start my fundraiser right after walk in the park is just the begging for me and Jonathan we already have light the night in October and are excited for this event.
ON A FINAL NOTE ANY LIL BIT OF MONEY GOES A LONG WAY FOR US AND IT'LL BE TRULY APPRECIATED AND IT'LL PAY BACK FOR ITSELF AND YOU'LL FEEL EVEN MORE BETTER INSIDE KNOWING THAT YOU HELPED MAKE A CHANGE ANY LITTLE BIT 5 DOLLARS OR AS MUCH AS U CAN.

Welcome to the fundraising page! I hope you will consider supporting our team's participation in the 2010 "A Walk in the Park" event at Six Flags. All contributions will benefit Cure Kids Cancer and Children's Miracle Network. 100% of the funds raised will go to our local Children's Miracle Network hospital to help support pediatric cancer programs. Any contribution will help, and all donations are tax deductible.
